The Pirates! Band of Misfits

Places to pillage.  People to skewer.

I’m not a big fan of this brand of animation, but the company this title came from has had some stuff I like well enough – Shaun the Sheep, Wallace & Gromit, Flushed Away, and more.  Unfortunately, for me anyway, this movie didn’t do a whole lot for me.  I took my two oldest boys (7 and 4) to see it at the local value cinema and they did like it, so I would trust their judgement before mine on something like this.  It had its moments…I can’t say it completely sucked.  It just seemed a bit “dry”, but maybe that’s because it is a bit different humor than American animated films have.

Anyway, I would say it’s plenty good enough to queue up for your kids and parents won’t have a difficult time sitting through it at all.
