Good: Awesome stop-motion. Good family flick.
Bad: The kid from The Last Airbender lends his craptastic voice talents to the lead character.

It’s all fun and games until someone raises the dead.

My sister-in-law took my oldest son to see this while it was still in theaters.  Both came back saying it was very scary.  Well, I snatched it up anyway when it hit the retail shelves and my three oldest children all asked for the zombie movie every day for a couple of weeks.  It was always on, for a while.

It’s not the greatest animated film I’ve seen, but it’s pretty funny.  It’s excellent in the realm of stop-motion animation, however.  I just don’t know how it’s possible for any human to have that level of patience.  I would go friggin’ Godzilla on one of these sets after 30 seconds worth of usable footage.

Anyway, my little kids didn’t find it scary, but I would use a little caution.  Some of the characters could definitely get different reactions out of different kids.  It’s still a pretty good family movie.
