I took my two boys to the cheap theater for this one some time ago. They both have enjoyed the previous two Madagascar movies, and my oldest loves the TV shows based on the escapades of the penguins, so this was an easy sell.
My 4-year-old did not care too much for this one and I don’t really know why. Every cut scene he thought it was over and wasted no time letting me know, ‘It’s over. Let’s go home.” Unfortunately for him, that started 10 minutes into the movie, so he really struggled. My 7-year-old liked it and I thought it was just as good as the first two, which I liked as well.
I will say it was a much better additional sequel than the last Ice Age release.
