Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Evolution becomes revolution.

James Franco is a pretentious twit and I wish they had found someone else for this part.  He wasn’t terrible and didn’t ruin the movie or anything, but I just don’t care much for him anymore.  With that out of the way, I can now say this film was a huge surprise.  I thought it would be decent, but it was pretty awesome.

Now, about the only thing I can’t stress enough is that this movie is a prequel, but it is NOT the prequel to the Planet of the Apes released in 2001.  From what I understand, this prequel will be a reboot to the entire franchise.  We’ll see if it gets past this film first, however.

If you haven’t seen it, or even if you never cared for the Planet of the Apes series, this one might give you a fresh new look.
