Everything Must Go

Lost is a good place to find yourself.

What an utterly depressing movie.  Even the “happy” ending didn’t make me feel nice.  Maybe because it wasn’t really an ending, but a new start…or some shit like that.  I don’t know.  I will say that Will Ferrell proved he can be more than just a pure slapstick comedian though.  He also proved he looks a whole lot like Ron Perlman.

While this was still a comedic role for Ferrell, it was definitely not his typical type of film.  The humor here was more like watching a clown drown a bag full of kittens.  The clown makes you laugh, but then you feel like shit for it.  This film is terribly hard to recommend, but it certainly was not bad by any stretch.  Based on pure entertainment value, well, I’d have to say there is a lot more to choose from.  In the end, my rating is based on a combination of all things considered and the entertainment value is where it tanked.  Everything else was above average.
