He doesn’t play golf…he destroys it.
Ah…the days when Sandler was fresh and new. When you could watch his movies and just laugh and be amused at the idiocy contained within. That’s what Happy Gilmore is – raw idiocy.
The movie is still quite amusing, although having watched That’s My Boy right before it washed away a lot of the humor I once found in Happy Gilmore. It was still good though, even after all these years.
Anyway, if you want real Sandler comedy, then the era Happy Gilmore comes from is where to look.
